Glossy 3D growth arrow inside a glass sphere on a violet background — symbolizing Anthropic's speculative valuation

Crypto Traders Priced Anthropic at $1.6 Trillion — The Company Says Those Tokens Are Worthless

On crypto platforms Ventuals (backed by Paradigm) and PreStocks, Anthropic's implied valuation has hit $1.6 trillion — double what investors assigned the company in its most recent official funding round. For comparison, Google's formal investment valued Anthropic at $350 billion, while some secondary-market offers have reached $800 billion.

  • Combined trading volume across both venues has more than tripled since the start of the year
  • Ventuals uses perpetual futures — derivatives with no asset backing, no expiration date, and no direct link to an actual share transaction; volume has hit roughly $500 million since its November launch
  • PreStocks mints tokens one-to-one against SPV exposure formally tied to real shares on secondary markets; volume is around $630 million since September

The catch is that Anthropic itself warned at least eight such platforms back in May 2026 that any unauthorized sale or transfer of its private shares, including tokenized products, is void and won't be recognized on its books. In effect, these numbers reflect speculative positioning rather than actual equity transactions — the line between access, speculation, and legal ownership remains genuinely unsettled. A similar model already exists on regulated venues: Coinbase lets you trade OpenAI and Anthropic before either company even goes public, though the mechanics there differ. More detail is available via Yahoo Finance.
