Emirates has added Crypto.com Pay as a checkout option on its website and mobile app — customers with a Crypto.com account can now pay for a ticket straight from their crypto wallet, no exchange-to-fiat detour required.

The feature is currently limited to eligible UAE residents booking tickets priced and settled in Emirati Dirham (AED). In the Emirates App, customers are redirected to the Crypto.com app to complete payment, then sent back to Emirates to receive their booking confirmation and e-ticket. On emirates.com, the flow is different — travelers select Crypto.com Pay at the payment step, scan a QR code, and approve the transaction in their Crypto.com app.

  • Payment is available only in UAE Dirham (AED) and only for eligible UAE residents
  • Transactions are processed in line with UAE regulatory standards
  • The Emirates–Crypto.com partnership was first announced back in July 2025
  • The launch feeds into the Dubai Cashless Strategy, which targets 90% of transactions going digital by the end of 2026

Emirates isn't the first major airline to experiment with crypto payments, but it's one of the most visible moves yet in a region where regulators are actively pushing a cashless, digital-first economy.

Nothing here should be taken as financial advice — just information to consider.
