Cardano's trading volume jumps over 100% in 24 hours — what's next?
Cardano gained about 10% over the past 24 hours, trading around $0.21 after bouncing off an intraday low below $0.18. Volume moved even more sharply — trackers like CoinMarketCap logged an increase of more than 100% day-over-day, to roughly $770 million, though some sources recorded a more modest 43% gain at time of publication, underscoring how volatile that figure can be moment to moment.
ADA's market cap climbed to roughly $7.7 billion. Analysts see the nearest higher-timeframe resistance at $0.22, with the $0.188–$0.190 zone — a resistance level until recently — now acting as support. A break above $0.22 would put the $0.288 area in play next. According to analytics platform Santiment, large holders added more than 240 million ADA to their positions during the rally. The RSI indicator sits at 71, signaling overbought conditions and raising the odds of a short-term pullback.
- ADA: +10% in 24 hours, trading near $0.21, volume around $770 million
- Nearest resistance at $0.22, next target on a breakout is $0.288
- Whales added more than 240 million ADA to holdings (Santiment)
Investors are also watching two regulatory triggers: the pending CLARITY Act vote in the US Senate, and the completion of Cardano's futures "seasoning" period on CME, expected August 9, which could open the door to spot ETF approval for ADA. The rally builds on what we've covered before: just last week, one analyst projected Cardano could rally over 1,300% to $2.9 by 2028 — though with RSI at 71, a short-term pullback from current levels remains a realistic scenario.
